Our Wedding

Our story began in the most modern of ways: online! Despite being an Ohio State grad, Ingrid decided to give Chris, a Michigan grad, a chance. Turns out that despite the college rivalry, we had a lot in common as we quickly found common ground in our love for food, travel and the outdoors.&nbsp; Our first date was at a burger spot in downtown Mountain View, nearly causing Chris an existential crisis over what to order since Ingrid was a vegetarian at the time. After much deliberation and conflicting advice from friends, Chris navigated the tricky situation and this was the beginning of many shared meals and memories together. During the pandemic, our little family grew after we adopted our rescue pup, Aspen. Despite her being a homebody and often getting carsick, she has reluctantly adapted, joining us on many hikes and road trips. It's been incredibly rewarding to watch her come out of her shell, adding more joy and adventure to our lives. Fast forward to the proposal. For months, Chris planned a surprise proposal along the Marin coastline. Little did he know, Ingrid, always spontaneous, signed up for a half-marathon at the exact same location on the exact same day. This ended up being the perfect cover since we returned the evening of the proposal, Ingrid was busy pointing out the trail that she had run earlier and was taken by complete surprise. In May of this year, Ingrid and Chris officially tied the knot at San Francisco City Hall in a small ceremony with their immediate family. It was the perfect, lowkey ceremony that they were hoping for. We're so excited to start our next adventure together, and we can't wait to celebrate with all of you!&nbsp;

We will be staying at the Fairmont San Francisco. To allow for maximum flexibility, we won't be reserving a hotel block, so feel free to choose the hotel that best suits your preferences. Hotel Kabuki: Nestled in the vibrant and charming Japantown, known for its quiet and safe atmosphere. 1 Hotel San Francisco: Situated along the scenic Embarcadero, offering easy access to the iconic Ferry Building and waterfront attractions.

Transportation

Parking in San Francisco can be difficult, so we'd recommend Uber/Lyft for getting around over the weekend. For those driving, please check your hotel for parking information or use SpotHero to reserve a parking spot closest to your hotel. Once you're in the city, you can even take a Waymo, San Francisco's self-driving taxi service!
