Our story began in the most modern of ways: online! Despite being an Ohio State grad, Ingrid decided to give Chris, a Michigan grad, a chance. Turns out that despite the college rivalry, we had a lot in common as we quickly found common ground in our love for food, travel and the outdoors.

Our first date was at a burger spot in downtown Mountain View, nearly causing Chris an existential crisis over what to order since Ingrid was a vegetarian at the time. After much deliberation and conflicting advice from friends, Chris navigated the tricky situation and this was the beginning of many shared meals and memories together.

During the pandemic, our little family grew after we adopted our rescue pup, Aspen. Despite her being a homebody and often getting carsick, she has reluctantly adapted, joining us on many hikes and road trips. It's been incredibly rewarding to watch her come out of her shell, adding more joy and adventure to our lives.

Fast forward to the proposal. For months, Chris planned a surprise proposal along the Marin coastline. Little did he know, Ingrid, always spontaneous, signed up for a half-marathon at the exact same location on the exact same day. This ended up being the perfect cover since we returned the evening of the proposal, Ingrid was busy pointing out the trail that she had run earlier and was taken by complete surprise.

We're so excited to start our next adventure together, and we can't wait to celebrate with all of you!
